This Blog About PVCs

Hi and welcome to my blog about PVCs. I've been dealing with these buggers now for 3 years, and I think I might just know a thing or two about them, and what it feels like to suffer from them. Doctors, on the other hand, like to think that PVCs are nothing, and that one should just put up with them. Well... it's just not always as easy as "putting up with them". Read about my story, if you're interested under About Me.

Now, PVCs are, for the majority of people, harmless. Medically. But for a lot of us, they are life-altering, and extremely debilitating. And then there's those of us who have structural abnormalities within our hearts, and that's when PVCs may be a bit less than harmless. So, if you suddenly start having these PVCs, or "skipped beats" as many people describe them (because that's how it feels - the fact that the PVC is actually an EXTRA beat is often rather alien to those of us who deal with them), your doctor really should send you to a cardiologist to make sure that your heart is healthy enough to live with them.

My intention with this blog is to a) inform my readers about PVCs and what can be done about them and b) to conduct research. I want to find out how people are being treated out there, by their doctors and cardiologists when they ask for help. I also want to find out what kind of treatment, if any, people are receiving, and what is working and not working. So, if you want to help me in my research, bookmark this blog and return to it often, participate in my surveys (completely anonymous, of course) and see what I find out.

I look forward to seeing you here.
